Our Swimming Hole
This is where we spend a lot of the dog days of summer. It's a bend in the river on our land where there is little currrent, you can see clear to the bottom (at least 8 feet deep) and the lovely emerald water just invites you in.
This is the kind of thing we moved here to Idaho for.

It's a pretty long drive so you'd better get going! It is a treasure, but we have to share. Rafters like it too and last week I saw a moose swimming around in it. He wasn't crossing the river, he just seemed to be enjoying the water. Smart moose. It feels awfully good in there in this heat. |
