It's sweet isn't it? Getting rid of a bunch of traffic actually makes downtown Sandpoint plesant...and getting past it to Pondaray a whole lot less frustrating! Though it makes it too easy to get to Big R, where I always spend too much money... Let alone the Yamaha and Polaris dealers.

Got a new crop of CF pics in my album. I'll post some of them in the Picture thread. Here are a couple--and thanks, Toyman, for telling me how to get there! High up on Johnson Creek Road. And you're right, it's a good road. What a view!

There is some great country to explore. Love your pictues, the light is perfect. Did you happen to notice the little road to the west on your way up to Johnson Saddle? There is an amazing view of the lake from there. We're going to be taking the RZR out for a ride in the CF area over the weekend, probably up to Porcupine Lake and Strong Creek.

Thanks! And yes indeed, we noticed the little road to the west--if you go up to the picture thread and my latest post, you'll see a pic from that viewpoint! We didn't know where the road ended, so we just went exploring. 2 miles in, and there was the view, from two viewpoints. We had no idea there's supposedly a third viewpoint 1/2 mile up the road (which really didn't look traveled at all), and we didn't want to get stuck, so we turned around. The skeeters were coming out in force. Next time...

You took some stunning pictures. What time of day were you there? All too often my mid-day pics are all too washed out...need to get some early morning/evening pictures more often.

We started the climb around 4 pm, I think, and came back down around 6:30 pm. Of course in summer the hang-time of the sun is amazing. We ended most days watching the sunset from the CF Bridge... and you can make it to the Floating Restaurant in Hope while there's still light in the sky...
