The Centennial Trail is pretty neat. We have been checking out different sections of it now and then. Today we are just over the border on the WA side. Really starting to get used to this green and water everywhere.

From here we continued into Spokane and ended up at Shenanigans right on the river at the Convention Center. A bit pricey, but I recommend the prime rib sliders!!!

Elousv,
The water looks great--fast and cold! Even if there hasn't been much of a snow pack melt yet. I remember last year, we were in NID in late May/early June, and the water level was higher than I've ever seen before. The Spokane Falls were unbelievable. Our favorite eating place is Anthony's, overlooking the Falls. Not so much for the food as for the view!

Toyman, great pics of the lake! (Yes, of your little 'Gade friend, too...) It reminds me of how many trails and trips that are awaiting us in NID! We want to try to make it up to the Scotchmans' Peaks at some point. We can see the peaks from our property, so we have to be able to stand on the porch and point and say, yup, we've been up there!

I have been on some ATV trail rides up in the Mullan/Wallace area of Northern Idaho. Was pretty high in some places where we were. I still think the best place for a trail ride has to be on the salmon river breaks down by Whitebird. It is amazing to see some of the country there in hells canyon and on the salmon side of the river. I have seen Bear, Cougar, Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail deer, and a couple bald eagles in one day of riding. If any of you get the time you need to venture down to Hells Canyon area if you haven't already. Some of the most remote areas left around here that I have been able to find. I would caution that you may not want to bring people that are scared of heights as some places have over a 1000 foot straight drop off the trail to the bottom. Anyway how is the water situation up there in the CDA area. You guys having the same problem with snow pack that the rest of the state is having. I know the Salmon River is low for this time of year and probably won't get much better. I can still see snow in the higher mountains around here but nothing left at the lower elevations.

Want some of our snow? We're sitting here today in SoCal, drinking hot chocolate and having the heaters on--snow in the mountains--temps in the 50s here inland--freezing rainshowers all day long--did we get your weather by mistake this winter/spring? Not that I don't appreciate it--the hills will stay green longer! But it upsets the hummer babies!

Dang thats rough CFF, I went in the drink yesterday riding Jet Ski's.!.. The water is still kinda cold, but we BBQ'd and were on the lake till after dark.. It was an awesome day! I rode along right under a bald eagle no more than 20' above me for what had to have been 5 miles. It was incredible, and he didnt even seem to mind.. He could have crapped on my head if he did..LOL.. This was right near Rocky Point, headed towards Heyburn on the south end of lake CdA..

You might consider moving to a more mild climate N...

Is that Lake Cocalalla from where the Lakeview Cafe used to be?

It's on our list of things to do already! We wanted to go there last summer, but got too busy over in Clark Fork. It's supposed to be a really nice museum.

Thanks for keeping me sane by sending pics from home!

No, Cocolalla is off to your left going up the 95 and then a few more miles up you turn right on Sagle Rd and go about 12 miles in to the museum. That picture is of water that is not always there from what I can tell from the satellite photos. Just over the trees though is the big earring lake.
