Having two IKEAs to chose from within a 20 minutes driving distance made it an easy choice.

It's going to be a bit strange to have the closest IKEA about three hours away, but it is still an improvement from last fall where I had a six hours distance (between Albuquerque and IKEA in Phoenix). Needless to say I never drove to that IKEA during my 6 months in Albuquerque. I'm not THAT fond of either driving or IKEA.

I will be going to the IKEA in SLC to get Christmas food/cookies/candy/sodas, but I doubt I will be a frequent visitor.

Hmm...I don't think I have ever used the word IKEA this many times in a post before. Maybe they will start to sponsor me now. I think they should.

They SHOULD!!! I've never set foot in an IKEA before, but now after hearing you I may have to check one out...

They are not as bad as they might seem. There are a lot of awfull stuff at IKEA, but at a second glance one could find really nice looking furniture.

Some photos of the IKEA collection in my apartment:

It's actually not much that's not from IKEA in these photos. The bed mattress and the curtains are not, and that's about it.

I remember when the IKEA first opened up in Burbank, it was pretty neat.
Hey I know we bag on that unmentionable state a bunch but there is some pretty country up in the northwest. On our cruise back to the homeland we took the 101 up from Santa Rosa to Crescent City and it was awesome. Here is a grove of Redwoods we found up there.

Nice pics everyone! I've been enjoying everyones posts in this forum for awhile now you all seem like great people. I'm new to posting to forums so please forgive me if I step on any toes.
Hey Trace, I previously posted on another thread asking about hunting opportunities in NID, but I probably wasn't specific enough. Is there any upland game hunting in NID. I'm thinking about possibly retiring in the Moscow area in 5 to 7 years. I spent some time a coupla summers ago in the Sandpoint area. We almost bought a lot near Bonners Ferry. I currently enjoy pheasant (where it isn't posted) and quail hunting in the Imperial Valley (Calif). I believe I read you were from Temecula? I live in Murrieta, right up the road. Any info would be appreciated. BTW, long live the black rifle! And....Kstorts, if you happen to read this, glad you made it safe and sound, and I'm so happy for you and your family.

Hi there Cll!! Actually we lived in Hemet, but it was on the outskirts closer to Winchester so yeah we were pretty close
Re: hunting, there is pretty much anything bird you can think of to hunt here.. Chukkers, Pheasants, Grouse, Quail, Turkeys, Ducks, Geese, etc...
Big game is all over too... For the sportsman N. Id is absolute paradise..
BTW thats just my beater Bushmaster varmint rifle.. You should see the Colt I built for varmint hunting... Good luck on your search, I think you will love living in Idaho when it comes time to retire.

Joox, thats a nice looking place you put together... I think your bedroom will be about the size of the closet in your next home though...

Trace: Thanks. My apartment is not huge, it's a ~678 sq ft one bedroom apartment which have been just perfect for my boyfriend and I for the last four years. I'm a bit sad that I have to sell it, it's not that easy to find an apartment with that light in it. Two of the four walls in the apartment are basically only windows.

You all have way more taste that my wife or I. Then again, we've got two rugrats that keep us from buying anything nice or even of any value.

Trace: That's the beauty of having no kids or pets, even though I sometimes wonder if my boyfriend wouldn't fit to any of those categories. Anyway, I'm enjoying it while I can, sooner or later I would like to have rugrats of any sort.

Oh Im sure there are plenty of birds in Moscow... Its only about 45 miles from here. Carbines are fun, I have a couple myself.. Once you get out of there you can buy some real fun stuff, and walk right out the store with it that day... Maybe when you get up here, we'll get together and sling some lead! Im easy to find, just Google my name..
