Hello nevadamtnrider700,

AAA says that Twin Falls to Priest River (the town) is about 605 miles with a driving time of 9 hours and 10 minutes. Add about 33 miles (40 minutes) to drive from Priest River to Priest Lake. Totals: 638 miles, 9 hours and 50 minutes.

To get AAA's suggested routing, go to:

AAA

Hope that helps.

Nevadamtnrider 700,

I popped in to the AAA site just for kicks and totally agree with the route (all interstate hwy) and the time looked about right.

I you are thinking of hwy 95 or 55/95 to run up the spine of Idaho, you can double the time estimate. I just drove down that route and there is a lot of construction (you could spend 1/2 hour waiting for a flagman to let you through), it's all two lane road with some towns thrown in (main street Donnelly was a gravel trench from one end of town to the other).

I took that route to see some scenic parts of Idaho and was not disappointed, but for point to point just to get it done, use the AAA route. The scenery won't change much, but you'll be on an open highway, and safer if you are towing anything.
