Okay friends, here's the October Events Thread! My sources, as usual, are The NW Travel Magazine and THINGS TO DO IN IDAHO - EVENTS

Oct.2-3 in Twin Falls: Oktoberfest (208) 734-2113
Oct.3 in Boise: Oktoberfest (208) 343-8649
Oct. 3-4 in Post Falls: Festa Italiana (208) 773-8522
Oct.9-10 in Hailey: Trailing of the Sheep Festival (208) 726 3423
Oct.10-11 in Riggins: Regional Art Show and Silent Auction (208) 726-3423
Oct.14-18 in Sun Valley: Jazz Jamboree (208) 726-3423
Oct.22-23 in Ketchum: Hemingway Symposium (208) 726-3423
Oct.31-Nov.8 in Sandpoint: Lakedance International Film Festival (208) 597-0961

Anything else that you know of, please post it! I remember one of our posters recommending the Hemingway Symposium. I've been to Sun Valley (in winter) and did a Hemingway tour, and it was fascinating! Although his grave was so utterly covered with snow that I couldn't find it...And of course, thanks to other posters we know that the Pale Rider movie location is just up the road ...

Just thought I'd bump up the thread and remind everybody that there are still great weekend events coming up in Oct! If anyone has any Halloweeny-type events they want to add to the list, now would be a good time!

There's always Dr. Slaughter's House of Terror in Idaho Falls: Friday & Saturday nights from 7:30 to (?)12:30. Located on the northwest corner of Yellowstone Ave. & Lincoln Rd., just north of (or behind) the Fred Meyer's shopping area.
