Default Physical Therapy work in small town Idaho

Hello Folks,

I am moving from SC to Idaho at some point in 2010. My family has been researching ID for 3 months now. Also we have been to ID on vacation. Our hit list is as follows:
Sand Point
CDA area
Orofino

You may say why Orofino?? I love the prices of property and homes!! I know it is very small and not near shopping, but we don't care about that. The therapy jobs there are filled for the time being. We care about it being somewhat green in terms of the terrain. Seems to have a good school for our 12 y/o daughter and family oriented.

I work in physical therapy and am looking for any suggestions of a fairly green, near the mountains, not full of LDS folks (don't mind them but just not in a majority setting), with one or two physical therapy clinics there. Not hospital physical therapy, but an independent clinic. I want to live with 5-10 miles of town. Nothing more remote than Orofino. I use Spellings’ to compare cost of living, and 100 other facts.

Thank all of you for the future replies!!

God Bless

Welcome to the forum, LWW! And you've zero'ed in on some good, green places. Just remember that "green" out West means spring and early summer, usually not late summer! And make sure you read the online property descriptions carefully. 10 miles out of town probably means down gravel/dirt roads at least part of the way.

LWW, if you specialize in sports injuries, you may want to focus on Sandpoint. With Schweitzer right next door, there's bound to be business coming your way, at least in winter! And in summer outdoor activities are everywhere, with the usual potential for injuries. Sounds a bit cynical, but I'm sure I'm just being realistic. I'm sitting here with a sprained ankle myself from hiking! Then again, SP may have all the physical therapists they need. But it would be something for you to look into.
