Default Work in Montpelier

I am looking to move to southern Idaho, contemplating Montpelier, what work is there and what is the commute to the closest town with work, Logan? I have my CNA and have run a registered daycare, is Montpelier big enough to run a daycare for up to 4 children? Is there a small hospital there or close by or a nursing home?

Default good fit

I see your post is old, but if you're still considering relocating, I think Montpelier would be a good fit for you. We have a hospital, nursing home, and assisted living center that always have openings for CNA's and most people think they treat their employees pretty well. A daycare would also be great, especially if you take infants. There are currently only 2 registered daycares and one "in-home" provider in town, and these are almost always full. There is also a new company moving in with line-manufacturing jobs which will employ about 150 people at a decent wage.

Logan would be a 1 to 1.5 hour commute and not very fun in winter. Lots of people commute to Soda Springs (about .5 hour) to work for companies like Monsanto and Agrium.

As long as you don't mind a very small town, Montpelier is a good community with lots of opportunities right now, especially for a self-starter.
