BMW vs Mercedes...Honda vs Toyota...Tastes great or less filling....you get the picture. I like them both...but I got a better deal on my Walls jacket so I went with that one...wife has Carhartt coveralls and swears by them. (don't forget the second "t" in their name...a lot of folks miss it...)

Nothing but Carhartts here. We own a fencing company and they are definitely put to the test in all kinds of work, weather and conditions. So far, nothing has held up like the Carhartts.

I love your stories. I haven't worn a tie in a decade, since moving from back East. Sold the 'Vette to finance the move. Speaking of metrosexual...a porsche with a bra??? Out here it's dirty pickups and gravel roads, rather than sports cars. Life is good!

I did wear Redwings back east, had to be different. Now it's Danner's or Rocky's, can't afford White's.
Flannelsexual...I'll have to remember that. Oh yes...I do tease him about being metrosexual before there was such a thing. I think we called it "yuppie" back then. A Porsche with a bra (do they still even have such a doofy thing?)and he lived in the same building in Boston as Steve Tyler from Aerosmith. This was the mid 80's so unless I want him to bring up my big hair I'd better not give him too hard of a time. Or heaven forbid... my Guess jeans and reeboks.

Another vote for Carhartts! I am always stealing my husbands coat. It is the warmest thing I have ever worn.

Don't know how I missed this post! Well, tell you what, Misty, I'll take you up on that! I wear what I want! Sometimes I wear flannel and jeans. Sometimes I wear black cowboy boots and a black down jacket, and a black cowboy hat with a silver band. And sometimes (although not very often) I wear a dress! I'm proud to be one of the guys, but I happen to be a woman! Sort of a tomboy ...Hope you guys will still play with me...

I haven't used Carhartts, but I've never really heard a bad word about them either. If you're looking for something for ice fishing or anything on the ice I'd look at getting a set of Arctic Armor though. 100% wind and water proof and more importantly - they float! If you go through the ice wearing Arctic Armor you won't sink and will have a chance to get out. Something to think about if you're going on the ice.
