My wife and I are looking to relocate to the area, we did Northern Idaho for 7 years. Sounds pretty bleak job wise unless you bring your own. How about Council and the 95 corridor up through New Meadows? Any chance for opening an RV/Restaurant/Tavern for locals and visitors alike? Thanks

Looks like each place has a couple RV parks (type New Meadows or Council Idaho and RV and root around and they are pretty ease to find if you haven't already) but whether the market has room for more would take detailed research. It probably will in the long-run but the near-term could be tough.

Pretty sure New Meadows gets more traffic and a multiple business strategy might be good if you have the capital and labor and location for it.

Happened to see that a smaller RV / Cabin resort near New Meadows is currently for sale that might be somewhat close to what you want or at least a possible entry into the market. Sent you a private message with the links. I have no connection to the property.

For some reason Valley county has the highest Law Enforcement to Citizen ratio in the State of Idaho ?

I've sure enjoyed my visits to town at the Lodge on the Lake. It's a very clean well run town. Certainly worthy of consideration if one were looking to live there as well.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but my perception is McCall is slowly turning into a very expensive area, with more and more wealthy residents moving in. I think sometimes the "undiscovered" areas tend to fall into this. Is McCall indeed becoming a new Sun Valley?

I just moved my girlfriend from McCall over here to Va. I do love McCall. It sure is beautiful, but the winters can indeed be brutal. Also, I just don't know how the normal person makes it there? It is so expensive for sure. We will go back often to visit, but to live in McCall? I'll pass. I'd rather live in Eagle/Meridian or the Boise area. There are just way to few amenities in McCall for me.

As a former McCallian, your right it is beautiful there, and in saying that, the richy richies can smell it a million dollars away and in saying that, It looks as though the Billionaers are kicking out the Millionares. I have lived there for 7 years, the intitlement is running a muck. We are lucky to have the Village to ourselves maybe 4 months out of the year, otherwise it gets over run by tourest, they swallow it up. So, of course that small friendly town feel is gone. Ya can't make a left turn 8 months out of the year..lol. The snow is lovely, the wildlife is thriving, if your a richy rich then by all means , please enjoy.

I think McCall wants to be Aspen Colorado really bad.

I've spent a few nights at the RV Park in New Meadows and it is a nice quiet place. It could use new ownership and a little upgrading, but it certainly isn't bad.
