Has anyone been down to Kellogg lately?
It has developed into quite a resort town. They are completing a new indoor waterpark with a wave you can surf on. Checkout the web site...http://silvermt.com/.When we were down there we did notice however, the entire town is infested with new cars. On every corner (and I am not exaggerating) there is a new car lot. Dave Smith Motors seems to have taken over all prime property locations. And I have to admit it does distract from the ambiance of this quaint town. Perhaps Mr. Smith might think about investing some of his money into a covered garage, and putting the many many many cars in one location. It could really make a difference IMO. |

Dave Smith Motors is well loved by many vehicle buyers in this part of the state and many other areas. It's worth the long drive to buy a car or truck at a REASONABLE price and not feel like strangling a salesman afterwards. They do need someplace to keep all those vehicles for sure. It's like the whole town is a giant car lot.

Yes when we were there we did see so many salesmen with handsfree ear sets. They seemed well taken care of. It seems also that the dealership sells alot online and this is why there are so many cars in the small town. I loved the area, I just wished the cars were a bit more contained. Also, have you seen the wal mart there? WOW it is the nicest I have ever seen!!!
Does anyone know where Dave Smith is now? |

Dave Smith is one of the top car dealers in the US. They are the largest employer in Shoshone county. They are also very good to the community and very well respected.
When Dave Smith died in a scuba diving accident he had left in his will that the business couldn't be moved. |

WOW! I live in Post Falls, and thank IdahoEagle for the post regarding Dave Smith and his passing.... not to mention his legacy!!
He deserves honor .... not because of his salesmanship, but because of his sense of 'community' ..... Good on him for not moving his enterprise!! And LOVING his community!! Thank you Dave! |
