Boise isn't known as a bastion of liberal thought either but the further one moves away from the Utah border the more one hopes to be allowed individual thought. Maybe Boise isn't even far enough. Please tell me you were just "funnin" me with your accusatory tone.

I wouldn't care who you support, but I would question the judgement of wearing a presidental pin to a solem apolitical event such as a funeral. I guess I would have taken the extra two seconds to remove my Ron Paul pen before I attended such an event. Maybe that is why you got dirty looks. Just a thought.

There is a lot of discussion in prior threads about this, and it seems to me that you need not worry.

Although I'm not Mormon, I was concerned about the same issue in Boise. This was shared with me by a friend of mine who is Mormon. I would think it is the practice all Mormons everywhere. Even in Boise!
Articles of Faith #11
11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

I'm not Mormon and have been here since 1991 and do just fine. You hear there are Christians all over as those of the Mormon belief consider themselves Christians...... that's all I'm saying not going any further on that subject

There are areas of Idaho where you will have problems to some degree if you are not Mormon. The northern area of the state there are not issues but many areas in southern Idaho are predominately Mormon. The smaller towns are worse than the cities or large towns.

My main question is this: Have the religious of any persuasion managed to tighten up the alcohol laws?
Thanks

Liquor stores are ran by the state exept in small towns, and no one sells alcohol past 2 am. You can still get whatever, and there is no 3% near-beer like in Utah.
