Okay so we are coming the first week of march, and only have 4 days to scout the areas. One day in Lewiston, one day in Cda/sandpoint area, and
two days back down to boise area. We are looking to move to Idaho in June.
Can you help with Lewiston and northward?
We have been scouring the forums. Our mailman brings us many brochures. We are interested in tourist places, but only minimally. Mainly to entertain visiting relatives. This isnt a vacation, we are trying to pick our future home!
Any recommends for Must see/do ? Places you go everyday (dont shop walmarts...or malls..) Healthfood stores, or local fruit markets, parks, hiking trails, used bookstores, places to go/do with kids for not much money. We like simple pleasures. Good swings, nice hikes, sailing, geocaching, bike rides. great books, beautiful scenery. Fishing, hunting. Finding places outdoors to play the bagpipes...

Just so you know...Priest Lake is the most beautiful place on the planet.
But in March you might still find snow.

If you have a day planned for Lewiston you may wish to check out Moscow. You can do a search and find some very recent Moscow discussions. If you like small college towns with decent job opportunities, nice parks, loads of outdoor activities nearby, friendly folks, and lots of arts and culture it will be appealing.
