We will be spending a great part of the summer in Idaho. My wife and I along with two labs will be towing a 33 ft. travel trailer with two harleys in back of truck. We are looking for suggestions on fishing, camping, and motorcycle riding.
For fishing, we would like to do some salmon fishing. I have been on the salmon river around the Riggins area before so we will try that again. Looking for suggestions for other areas with great salmon fishing and areas to go for other great fishing.
For camping, we are looking for great places to camp. Some boondocking and some rv type of parks. Looking for base camps to explore from.
Motorcycle riding..... we want to go on day trips out of camper area. Perfer good roads as we are on harleys not dirt bikes.
Trying to fiqure out what to do with two great dogs when we go on our motorcycle adventures. Perhaps kennel them. Being in Idaho we can get to SanFran in like what - 9 hours, so visiting there for a few days.

looking for suggestions...................

Check out Orofino. With both a river and reservoir there is tons of fishing. Good roads for cycling are nearby. Especially the back road between there and Kendrick, and the other between there and Elk River.

Just a note: the road between Elk River and Dent bridge is gravel with sometimes heavy log truck travel. We see Harleys on it all the time, but if you're not thrilled with gravel you may want to go the long way around through Kendrick and up over through Deary.

Spring Valley is located outside of Troy. Not sure about how good the fishing is there, definetly not salmon, but it's a central location on the Palouse and the campground is fairly decent. Elk River also has nice campgrounds and a pretty pond, but again, no salmon.

Spring Valley is a popular local fishing spot. As is the little lake/reservoir just outside Bovill (about 20 miles closer to Elk River/Orofino than Spring Valley). Both have nice campsites. Don't know what kind of fish are in those spots.
