Gary: who cares what they're looking for? We as a nation have absolutely no obligation to provide anyone with "what they are looking for". If they want a better life let them improve their own country.

I'm not saying that we do have an obligation. I thought I was clear about amnesty for some & sending recent migrants back. Just saying there's no need to demonize them as subhuman criminal scum.
I prefer the Judge Milian approach to resolving issues than the Judge Judy approach. Both get to the same decision but Judge Judy has to scream and treat people like dirt.

Ahhh.... I see what you're saying. Your issue is not really that we'd be rewarding them, it's that we'd not be punishing them enough. I'd agree with that, but it's not the same thing as a reward.

I know of no one who is suggesting that they do not follow the same exact guidelines required of legal applicants.

Well said, absoutely positively, agree with you, let every freaking one of them, ----- to their own Government, about making life better for them. There Government could give a crap about them, that is why, not our problem, now and never in our past, was this Our Problem. We have allowed for this mess to happen, now it is time, that we citizens, stand up, and make our voices heard.

Something I am hearing over and over from those here illegally is, they have no need or use to become american, the goal is to improve thier lifes by sending home money to mexico and securing land there.
Once done with the money they can make here its back to mexico to retire or do some biz that is now secured. I tell you in last two years every tradesman that I spoke said this to me. I always ask for papers from my workers, I explain its because americans need these jobs too.
So with much angry I get the fy dont need to be american stuff.
