I was always of the opinion Obama wouldn't touch the illegal immigration problem this year because of the public opinion beating he took over healthcare.

Then Arizona passed its law and brought the issue right to the forefront. Now he has to do something. But what? This congress doesn't want to touch it now before the election. After the election, congress might want to tackle it without the result Obama wants.

This could be the way around his problem. I hope he wants to be a two term president and thinks very seriously about any actions he takes. It's not looking good for him now and this could end his bid for term 2 if he blows this.

There is no way after thye last vote anyone in congress rally wants to handle amnety. They are alreasdy worried about their jobs looking at recent votes. That would reallty tip the cart seeing the reaction when Biush tried it.
