Not just our problem. Looks like we all need to build fences.
Illegal immigrants raising concerns in Latin America - 06/10/2007 - MiamiHerald.com
Quote:
LIMA -- Efforts to stem illegal immigrants from neighboring countries are increasing in parts of Latin America because of concerns, similar to those in the United States, that they drive down salaries and bring crime and violence with them.
Ecuador, Chile and Venezuela are discussing whether to restrict illegal migrants while Costa Rica recently tightened barriers. Peru is studying whether to tighten its southern border with Bolivia.

There's more, if you want to read it all.
So how come they can tighten their borders, and aren't called racists, but we can't?

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just the illegals calling us racists. What really bites is when our own politicians start calling us names when all we as citizens want is to be secure from foreigner invading this country.

I'm not sure which is worse ... political correctness or illegal immigration both are going to be the death of us if we don't act now.
I stopped being PC long ago, if they don't like it, get over it.

But unlike the USA, the ONLY country in the planet with wide open borders, if you get caught or is seen crossing the border in Brazil, the cops or soldiers yell "stop" 3 times... you don't stop, they SHOOT YOU on the back, if they have to.
Crossing an international border w/o permission is only OK in the United States.
