regardless of what the reason was as to be absent, any employee should give notice. if they didnt... too bad.

Just Brilliant, How do they expect their Employer to stay in business with half it's workers gone without notice ? Maybe they can think about this when they're unemployed.

what if these win or lose a law suit, how does that effect you.

Unless you didnt get served at Pei Wei's dinner, why should any law suit matter?

These 12 will pay the price according to the law, not because of your inconvenience.
I didnt say "legal mess" I said "illegal"... I'm assuming you already know how they are affecting every USA citizen, so wont go into that..but I also have empathy for this business owner, so am including him/her in "us". If the owner is sued, he loses in court costs/time even if he wins the suit. Also, this is just the beginning of lawsuits imo...who's next? You, me? So call me crazy, but I feel bad for this business owner just trying to run his diner as he sees fit, but I can also see this "carp" happening all over.I have a problem with frivolous lawsuits..dont you?

If these employees file a lawsuit against the business owner it will be a frivolous one.

I am all for getting involved in what you believe in however, not during working hours when everyone is aware that by not showing up it will hurt business.

If you don't call out then you should lose your job.

sort of like illegal immigrants. if you don't want to do the time, don't do the crime.

At ANY job, regardless of citizenship, if you are a no-call no-show, you are almost always fired on the spot. But hey, they were protesting Arizona, so they'll probably follow a lawsuit, win, and collect thousands from Pei Wei! Now THAT'S something that would hurt Arizona financially. Stupid people in this world.

Can you explain to us all why you are constantly in support of people who blatantly commit a crime or like in this case were told not to do something, but did it anyway, and now that they have to face the consequences, they feel that they were somehow wronged? I'm just trying to figure out your logic and why you are so against law-abiding actions or just doing the right thing.
