FOXNews.com - Richardson: Canceled Border Conference Shows Arizona Law Hurting Foreign Policy
The subject line of this post should reflect reality: Mexican border govenors decided to boycott the conference due to their disrespect of Arizona's new immigration law. Who is actually hurting foreign policy?
What better way to voice their concerns? At the conference? Or, showing complete disdain for the USA and her citizens?

Default Amnesty is the answer

Conservatives want those here who benefit from the "unearned privilege" to continue to do so. I continue to find the conservative narrative a pathetic one. This topic a prime example.

Here are other positions held by the regressive party: Hispanics? To hell with them. Blacks? They are inferior and need to stay subordinate. Asians? Limit their numbers because they beat us on all standardized tests and in academic settings. Poor? They should stay that way unless they can find a way on their own to escape. Ghetto? We continue to discriminate against them but they are destined to remain because they are lazy. Aborton? Men should be able to tell women what to do with their bodies and prevent an abortion. Illegal immigrants? They are swine, and must be kicked out, even though they bought into the patriotism theme we always sing when we're nation-building all over the world. They believed us and want a better life for themselves and their kids, but so what? Kick them and their anchor babies out. Crime? Just tell them to stop, and if they don't, it's because of some inherent weakness. Drugs? Just say no. Affirmative action? Let's pretend as if we don't discriminate against blacks, even though we still do, and whine about discrimination in reverse. That makes sense to us. Waaaaa! Poor who can't afford prescription medication to save life? Let them get better on their own because we don't need more taxes. Jobs? Let's maximize profit by maintaining the good ol boy network and hiring h-1b visa Indians at a fraction of the cost. We'll bring them here and make them work ungodly hours for minimal pay while we get rich putting out inferior products....so on so forth.

If you conservatives feel that this country should disregard Mexico and Hispanics, then you can bet that the CORRECT VIEW of this topic (like the others) is the OPPOSITE of what you believe. Respect Mexico and its people, including those who come here for a better life. Amnesty. It's the only way to help those people become members of this society, and IMOP hopefully displace Conservatives.

I agree! The subject line AND headline both make it seem like AZ canceled knowing it was going to hurt foreign policy. Brewer canceled AFTER the governors said they might boycott it. Brewer and AZ are not the one's hurting foreign policy.

We owe Mexico and its people NOTHING!
Why should we show respect for a country that rids itself of its poor by sending them illegally to another country? I sure as hell don't and never will.
Respect the illegals who "come here for a better life"? Not in this lifetime. Someone who "steals" a better life is not somebody worth knowing or respecting. Respect is something that is earned, and neither Mexico nor its people have shown that they deserve it.
Amnesty? NEVER. These PEOPLE have a country (and it's not the US) and they have no intentions of becoming members of "this" society. They want to make the US into the place they left.
The Mexican governors don't like Arizona's new law because they don't want the poor Mexican's coming back home.
American's LOVE AZ new law because we want the illegals gone. (Not just the Mexicans... ALL of them, from wherever they hail from!)

Good for Arizona for standing up for itself rather than bowing to either to Mexico or this corrupt administration that selectively enforces laws, or, just makes them up as it goes along.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the majority of U.S. citizens support Arizona and SB 1070; which includes liberals, conservatives, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Iím surprised you donít know this.

By invoking the race card you only prove you lack a cogent argument to defend your position. But then, how does one defend the indefensible? If you support amnesty, why not explain your position, rather than veering off on a tangent? How the heck does Black America, prescription drugs, illicit drugs, nation building, or ghetto life even remotely relate to the topic of this thread?

Mexico has an obligation to provide for its citizens. That does not include dumping them on the taxpayers of this country, and whining because we object. Do you think Mexico would welcome 10% of the uneducated, low-skilled, and miscreant U.S. citizenry? Would they embrace having their wages depressed and their workers displaced for the benefit of foreign interlopers? Of course not. Neither would any other country.

When Mexico respects us, we will respect them. Thus far, they have shown nothing but contempt. We owe them NOTHING. Tell me, do we have a moral obligation to provide for the citizens of every country, or are we only indebted to Mexico?

Donít hold your breath waiting for amnesty, unless you have an ample supply of oxygen at your disposal.

FOXNews.com - Richardson: Canceled Border Conference Shows Arizona Law Hurting Foreign Policy
This meeting has taken place for years. Where does Brewer get off making a unilateral decision to cancel it?

They held the meeting in Boston, as scheduled. It was Mexico’s decision to decline the invitation.

Edit: Oops, wrong meeting. I’m not sure why she canceled it.

This is why she canceled it.

AUSTIN Ė Gov. Rick Perry said Monday that he won't attend a meeting of border state governors if it isn't held in Arizona, which some of the participants are boycotting in protests of the state's tough new illegal immigration law.

But all six Mexican governors wrote Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on June 30 saying they would refuse to visit her state because of the immigration law, which they said promotes "ethnic and cultural prejudice."

In light of the boycott, Brewer canceled the meeting.

LOL!! Mexico's corrupt government and her leaders are most certainly NOT deserving of any respect from anybody, let alone the United States.

Not only does their corrupt government continue to show blatant disregard/disrespect for everything American (except $$$$$).....any illegal who breaks and enters does the same.

We owe neither the Mexican government, Calderon nor any illegal alien ANYTHING, period.

I have every respect for any Mexican who enters the United States legally and does things the legal and RIGHT way.

I have NONE for the illegal masses in any way, shape or form. Deport their butts ASAP, period.
