Calls to protest Arizona’s tough illegal-immigration law fell flat in Boston yesterday as barely 400 people rallied in opposition to Gov. Jan Brewer and her policy to use ID checks to arrest illegals.
Organizers had predicted the gathering would draw thousands, but less than 400 people - some of them counter-protesters - showed up for the Copley Square rally.
For their boycott on Arizona the protesters bused in people from multiple states. I don't know about you but I really find this funny. Let's bring in people to spend their money in the state we are boycotting.
I really didn't think a lot of people back east gave a crap about these protests.
“We do not her want here. She is not welcome here,” shouted Ruben Miranda, of the group Departed Diaspora. “We can fight this if we all work together.”
I think this would read better like this:
"We do not want them here. They are not welcome here," shouted tulani, of the group of City Data anti-illegal immigrant people. "We can fight this if we all work together."
Their protest sounded like it was a lot of fun. Sorry to have missed the blaring music. NOT!

This really pi*ses me off......Has anyone notice how EVERTIME a disciption of SB 1070 is published, the wording is always arranged to make it sound as close to a racist slur as possible? Leaving parts out and adding their own words and sentences instead of using the the exact wording EVERTIME!

the law, which requires police officers to question anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant after they’ve already been stopped on another infraction
I wish I could have been there to join the group that was in support of Brewer and SB 1070.
