That isn't really their main objection though and I think most of them know that racial profiling isn't really an issue no matter how much propaganda is thrown at them. My point was that most Hispanic Americans that I know object to 1070 and any other attempts at enforcement of our immigration laws do so because of an ethnic tie to the illegals. I believe most of them want amnesty/legalization/CIR to happen. They also oppose any sort of deporations whether they be voluntary or involuntary.

some people like to call the AZ law racist, but it aint, my Hispanic co-workers in Albuquerque were all for the immigration law, so is my family who is Hispanic, its not fair to all the other Mexicans who came here legally and put the effort in.

You also live in California which has attracted the extreme end of Chicano types. It's gotten so bad because anti-Americanism has been tolerated for so long in that state.

My mother still watches the news in Spanish and I can corroborate this. The spanish speaking networks present a very one sided view of immigration.

Most legal immigrants came here to get away from the crime in their own country to see the crimnals they fled from flood across the borders unhindered. People who come here legally have something at stake in this country.
