A very few, maybe, but they just want all they can get from this very easy country. The illegals laugh about how dumb we are, and thats a fact. How many citizens would work their butts off, and let their tax dollars go support someone who BROKE into their country??? We are so P.C. that we're commiting financial suicide, not to mention being taken over in every facet of our lives. Some think the I.L.'s are living in poverty, well not the 1's around me! My gawd the parties & vacations they have. And they are the Only residents doing home improvements....they are literally laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm glad you & others here are waking people up... I only hope its not too late.
Thank you and excuse the typos, I'm a bit peeved and a really horrid typist. My story turned out amazing. I own my own business (construction), have a 50 acre working farm, am an author of just one book right now and keep politically acrtive to maintain American Values. Sorry you got teary eyed, and remember, for my story, there are a million more who have made it the American Way. You just have to get off your (not you) lazy duff and DO IT. I refused to settle for less and always believed in giving to those who NEED, not demand.

BOSTON. 3 foot snow. I managed to get the electricity on LEGALLY, no heat mind you, just enough for a hotplate I PURCHASED, found a fridge (before I USED THE WINDOWSILL AS MY FRIDGE) had blowup pool mats for my bed, used the existing fireplace as heat ( I slept an hour, fed the fire and hour, slept an hour, fed the fire) and did I whine? NO, did I demand? NO. I assessed the situation as MINE and worked my ass out of there and into better life on MY DIME, NEVER had I taken from another. The store clerk at the next door Establishment saw me come in with my and my daughters lips blue, he insisted I go to his house across the street where he told his wife to make us soup. We did go, INVITED and ate. Eventuality, after the local Portuguese stuck both of my car tires with a knife and I CHANGED MY TIRES MYSELF PREGNANT AS THEY WATCHED AND LAUGHED, I decided that Fall River was too far from America for me. Come to find out most of those there were illegal. Fall River. Check it out so no, illegals do not deserve our handouts, fight for your own dam country, I am for mine, stop raping ours. I made it against my own Country's generosity to the wrong person taking advantage of it.

Today I have power, I'll stop illegal immigration's attack against America. Get it OUR way or hit the Highway.
You command my heart felt respect. Nothing more can be said..

It's amazing just how resourceful a human being can be once they are forced to. Builds character to boot. Those here illegally ought to try it, in their own Country. And I could say thank you, but each human being has the same potential.

If one man can, all can.

Sorry this got derailed, back on topic.

I blame the companies and businesses who use illegal immigrants because they are too cheap to pay a fair wage for the work. Even though immigrants are benefiting in some respects from being here, they are also getting exploited in a lot of ways by these businesses. For example, the movie "Food, Inc." that came out a few years ago showed how many meatpacking plants actively seek out Mexicans to work in their meatpacking plants, then if the workers get any ideas about unionizing to get better working conditions the owners of the plant can THEN call in immigration to pick up the workers. Neither the immigrants nor American citizens are winning in this sort of thing - just the owners of businesses who get rich off immigrant labor.

So I wonder: Has anyone tried to put together a list of businesses and companies that are flagrantly using illegal immigrant labor to encourage people to protest and boycott those businesses?
If we could all stop fighting over the immigrants themselves and focused on the corporations who are getting rich off exploiting immigrants, then we might actually be able to solve the problem. Immigrants only come here because the companies want to hire them. If these companies were pressured into offering fair wages to American citizens, the problem would be solved.
Been there, done that. I started a thread, and suggested we join forces to attack illegal employers. I also posted a website containing a database of “suspected” illegal employers. Unfortunately, I was the only one pro-illegals were interested in attacking. They were more concerned with the “rights” of employers, than with trying to identify illegal employers, boycotting, or participating in any form of activism. They were too afraid we might unjustly target a company. After all, what proof do we have that they "knowingly" employ illegals?

Then, what would you suggest? Where do we start, or do we simply do nothing?

Easy...by improving hiring processes that can spot all instances of fraud, which will need to be supported, controlled and enforced by the federal government. This can be done by:

-Changing the I-9 form to require list A, List B and List C documents for all new hires. This would be done instead of accepting either a list A document or list B and list C documents. This would also require all US citizens to have a passport (since they would otherwise not have any list A docs).

-Require all employers in the US to use E-verify for hiring.

-Improve E-verify to include all state photo IDs, passports, social security cards, and birth certificates in its database (currently all it has is federally issued photo IDs such as permanent residency cards and work authorization cards.) This would deter alot of fraud as it would require the employer to compare the photo IDs used on the I-9 form to the actual IDs in the E-verify database. If the pictures don't match up the hire cannot be made.
