Have you noticed how they love to direct attention away from the real problem when it comes to ILLEGALS by making a issue out of drunk driving instead.

It's interesting to me that none of you are complaining about the crime of drunk driving, just that he was illegal. Guess it's not a big a crime if your relative did it.

Rep. Poe Calls for Justice for Nun killed by Illegal | Congressman Ted Poe, Serving the 2nd District of Texas (http://poe.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=202082 - broken link)
Quote:

Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) released the following statement today in response to the fatal drunken-driving accident caused by an illegal Bolivian national in Prince William County, Virginia that killed Sister Denise Mosier and injured two others:

“How many lives have to be lost at the hands of people illegally in our country before our federal government takes action? Government’s first duty is to protect its citizens and they continue to ignore the problems of illegal immigration and a wide-open border. As a result, American people are continuing to be the victims of crimes committed by people that should not be here in the first place. This criminal had already been identified as an illegal, arrested for two prior DUI’s, yet the federal government let him go. This is not justice. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Sister Mosier.”

Right in the sanctuary city of Washington D.C.

How much of this will the American public allow

It's high time some Judges start to be accountable

"He is an illegal immigrant who was out on bond awaiting a deportation hearing" "He’s been charged with DUI for the third time in five years, involuntary manslaughter and driving on a revoked license related to a DUI offense"

"Police are investigating how Montano obtained the driver's license"

I have no kind words for such scum illegal or otherwise. Prayers to the sister's family as she no doubt would be more forgiving than I.

This was on the first page of news on AOL Small Business page today. It was entitled, "Nuns Death Stirs Immigration Debate"

Police: Illegal Immigrant Carlos Martinelly Montano Kills Sister Denise Mosier in Drunken Driving Crash

Quote:
Corey Stewart, the chairman of Prince William County's Board of Supervisors, says the accident highlights the need for federal immigration reform. Stewart championed and implemented one of the nation's strictest county-level anti-illegal immigration policies. The local law requires that police inquire about the immigration status of all people arrested on suspicion of violating a state or local law. He says it's "extremely frustrating" that even with the county's policy, not all those turned over to ICE are removed from the country.

"We handed him over to the feds assuming he would be deported, but instead federal authorities released him back into the neighborhood and he killed a nun," Stewart said. "We feel like we are beating our heads against the wall."
Sister Mosier's death hopefully will not have been in vain.

My sentiments exactly. Hopefully, her death will underscore our need to enforce our immigration laws. Had our government done its job, he would not have been here to take her life. Itís frightening to imagine how many like him are currently in our country.

She wasn't wearing a seat belt in the back seat, so they'll find away to get him off.

Very sad. Drunk driving is a big problem in our country so why should we allow illegal drunk drivers to get a pass get out of jail free card? His punishment should have been as harsh or more so than an American caught drinking and driving twice.

The nuns' order spit on their sisters death by say they don't want to make this a statement on illegal immigration. They support open borders and would forgive this illegal scum if he raped and sodomized the nun before killing her. Shame on my church!

Of course the Catholic church supports open borders. 90% of poverty riddled Mexico, central america, and south america is of Catholic faith. And they are not lapsed catholics like many in America, but extremely staunch and traditional catholics. If the nuns denounced illegal immigration the Vatican would spank their hineys.

One does not have to look far to find the answer as to why these areas are riddled by poverty. There are many factors, but let's just stick with the Catholic church's stance on BIRTH CONTROL.

Girl, 14, murdered in the sanctuary city of Houston by illegal Salvadoran who had been deported twice after DWI convictions. When she resisted being raped and got away, he shoots her in the back for humiliating him so:
Police: Alleged shooter in 14-year-old teen's murder an illegal immigrant | abc13.com

The above report does not have the attempted rape angle, that came out later. He robbed her after shooting her.

Things are out of control here in Houston. An officer was killed by an illegal alien last year with a record going back for a dozen years, never deported:

Oh how liberal we are in the city government here. Just like utopia, a true sanctuary. And the mayor who made it that way is running for governor in the D column, haha. Oh and Barry O. says, speaking of column, that you put it in D to go forward, R for reverse. Unfortunately for these families, some might want to say D for death. Death of our society as we have known it.
