I believe this surge has more to do with new illegals pouring over the border.

I don't think it has to do with Arizona at all - the illegals in Arizona already had whatever ID they wanted, the surge has more to do with the flood of people leaving Juarez and other cities along the border, naturally for the USA because in spite of the fact that other parts of Mexico are safe, they figure there's better money for them in the USA and the violence excuse will bring them asylum and refugee benefits.

It's a well known fact in Mexico that NM is the place to go for drivers licenses for those who want them - and it's extremely easy to obtain one - no proof of identification needed since you can just buy a Mexican matricula card for $25 and that whole thing is filled with fraud. NM is right on the border too which makes it all the more easy.
