So, unless an illegal has been here less than two years, and is a convicted felon, they will not be deported. If they are dismissing the cases of illegals scheduled for deportation, does anyone actually believe they will pursue those “living in the shadows?”

Quote:
Culling the immigration court system dockets of noncriminals started in earnest in Houston about a month ago and has stunned local immigration attorneys, who have reported coming to court anticipating clients' deportations only to learn that the government was dismissing their cases.

The court "was terminating all of the cases that came up," Gonzalez said. "It was absolutely fantastic."

"We're all calling each other saying, 'Can you believe this?' " said John Nechman, another Houston immigration attorney, who had two cases dismissed.

DREAMies are celebrating.

So then that would render laws like the one in arizona relatively ineffective. If ICE won't deport you then who will?? Take that az!

"A woman from Cameroon, who was in removal proceedings after being caught by the U.S. Border Patrol, had her case terminated by the government. She meets the criteria of a trafficking victim,"

This makes about as much sense as having a drug possession dismissed for being the "victim" of drug dealers, a theft dismissed for being the "victim" of a bad economy and having a DUI dismissed for being the "victim" of a bartender...lol

The stupidity of our current Administration never ceases to amaze me.

This is outrageous! How are they going to prove how long they've been here? Are they going to take their word for it?

This better bring more..and I mean "MORE".. Americans to their senses.

I was thinking the same thing. The are giving too many get out of jail free cards to these people.

It is a shame that this is all politics. We have to be politically correct to this group and that group, now we have to be politically correct to illegals now? People who are not SUPPOSED to be able to vote.

Pretty soon we will be asking Ahmadinejad what he thinks on certain bills before they are put to a vote

Well I guess the administration got their "amnesty" to get the hispanic vote and never even had to go to Congress or face the press.

How sneaky and back door is that ?
