Check out today's headliner in USA Today. Hispanic voters who supported Bush last time are now fleeing over to the Democrats and supporting Hillary Clinton, currently 59% of them according to latest survey.

"One big factor behind the flight from the GOP: a heated debate over immigration in which congressional Republicans' remarks on illegal immigrants have offended Hispanic voters."

So pass the bubbly now guys, you have just helped out your own worst nightmare - Hillary!!!!

I don't care much for Hillary but I love the irony!

Both blacks and Legal hispanics are coming together against amnesty. Do you think they will flock to the Democrats that want to give their jobs away to illegal immigrants? This party is not over.

The paper was referring to legal Hispanics that voted for Bush last time. They were probably offended by a lot of the ugly anti Hispanic racism that slipped out of people's mouths during this immigration discussion.

What this illegal immigration issue has done is show just how much our country has been invaded by illegals and I believe it will bring people out of the woodwork that have never bothered to vote. If someone's wages have been drivin down by illegals do you think they are going to go over to the Republicans now that they have seen we can force change?

Do you want to discuss immigration here? If so, I'll move it to that forum. I didn't think so at first...

That was not my plan JCO - but you may have noticed that some posters have a bit of an obsession with that topic. (an unhealthy obsession, I might add.)

From what I see, Hispanic voters are moving away from Bush because he's playing the amnesty game.

It's both a political and an immigration issue and yes I have an "obbession" with protecting our borders since we have no idea who comes through them.

bily4 if you have to deal with the millions of illegals every day, then you're darn right - it's an obsession.

If they didn't cause problems, cost us money and were above the law we probably wouldn't care that much.
