We survive without illegals centuries before them. I am sure we will be fine.

My question would be under this topic would be why would Alabama's farms be crippled by the exit of illegal aliens when there are unlimited visas for legal agricultural workers?

We survived, but some farms in Alabama aren't surviving right now. That was the point.

For one thing, what makes you think that there are unlimited visas?

Secondly, maybe illegal aliens truly represent the free market, which is what conservatives claim they support from one side of their mouth, as they rail against illegal labor on the other. Which is it, folks?

We haven't had slaves for quite some time now.

How about some of the unemployed and welfare types (yes, even hispanics on welfare) have some of their handouts cut and be required to work for a living?

There's a 40% rate of welfare use in Washington DC, it's time to get back a work ethic because it's not doable to have all the citizens on welfare programs and keep importing the third world.

This situation of cheap labor (cheap to the farmers not the general public) has only occurred for the last 20-30 years in a large amount. No slaves have worked farms for quite some time. Plus, since it's less than 10% of the illegals on these ag jobs I believe the industry needs revamped. Our farm has been successful for 60 years and we've used zero illegal labor. Not all farm owners are smart enough to run a successful business. If they can't run without making marginal profits they should probably be flipping burgers.

1) H2A visas do not carry a cap number, they are truly unlimited.
2) The "free market" is nationalistic in context, not global as Progressives want.
