Right.

An unnamed witness who refused to go to the police.

Other eye witnesses contradict her statement.

In the case of he said/she said--I think I'll throw my money behind law enforcement.

You remember law enforcement, don't you? Those brave, selfless men and women who put their lives on the line, day in, day out--24/7, 365 days a year?

Yeah, those people.

The saddest thing of all about this incident is that we've taken to coddling illegal alien cop killers while roasting alive any law enforcement officer who is put in the very difficult position of having to use deadly force against someone whose very presence in this country is a violation of our nation's laws.

Sad and disgusting.

Very good question - I have a fear it's someone yet undiscovered......apparently one of the witnesses that was close to the man said the knife was bloody BEFORE he was shot

His fingerprints will be on the knife, and then what?

I'm sorry, but is this the "America" that we want? At first, I just had issues with illegal immigration, but lately, you wonder what the heck is going on with legal immigration as well.

Quote:
The shooting prompted demonstrations Monday near MacArthur Park, a densely packed neighborhood west of downtown populated with recent immigrants from Central America. Four people were arrested on suspicion of inciting a riot, and others threw rocks and bottles at police, slightly injuring three officers, Officer Bruce Borihanh said.
The nerve of those people to migrate here and then throw bottles at police officers.

Notice how "Jamines'" name is spelled differently than his cousin's (Jimenez) last name? Probably because of how they flip their names 50 million different ways to work illegally.

From the article:
Quote:
He came to the United States six years ago to find work as a day laborer and spent most of his time looking for jobs in the parking lot of the Home Depot a block away.
I don't understand how it is OK for someone to come here with NO job secured and have hopes of being a day laborer? What a freaking burden on the states and the federal government. What are they going to do when they have no day laborer positions? And he did this for six years? There is so much wrong with that method and model, and tons of them come over daily with that plan. WTF America? Oh yea, to top it off, they are over here having babies.

We don't need more poor folks who are without jobs just floating around, hanging out in parking lots, hoping to get work. What kind of stuff is that?

Quote:
Demonstrators had hung posters with Spanish slogans that said: "The people demand accountability," "No more murders," and "The police murdered a day laborer and we demand justice."
Ha, you don't see them protesting in the streets with signs when an illegal immigrant kills a US citizen or legal resident.

You won't see those kinds of stories on any pro-illegal blogs or forums either but they will report in a heartbeat on stories where an illegal especially if they are Hispanic is the victim.

This sums it up. These people are tired of being "disciplined" by the Police. As usual in areas that don't recognize US law. Maybe these people actually need to see a knife sticking out of a pregnant neighbor before they allow Police to do their jobs?

Ana, who works in a school cafeteria, said she has lived in the neighborhood for 30 years and believes that police have been over-aggressively cracking down on street vendors and seizing their products.
After the press conference Thursday, she met with state Assemblyman Kevin De Léon, (D-Los Angeles), who was on his way to a meeting with LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.
De Léon plans to ask the chief for a thorough and complete investigation into whether the shooting was justified, but believes opportunists are seizing on heightened emotion in the neighborhood to push their anti-police agenda.
"There are individuals exploiting the death and being opportunistic," he said. "They're not helping the situation."

Yes, I very much agree with you, ATP. It is a sad story all around and I cannot imagine the challenges police and officials have in areas that are so emotionally charged.

I knew someone would see this, the street vendor crackdown means they want to continue to sell goods that may make someone sick.
No permit/lic no pay taxes no accountable in anyway to society.
There was another account of what Ana said it also includes , that they were tired of being harassed for drinking in public as well.

Some of the all Hispanic areas like this are nothing short of a big inner city
jail labor camp where the inmates are confined by themselves and their way of life.
The cops merely watch the inmates to insure minimal killing but as we see
now civil unrest.
