I think there should be a difference in work sponsored legal immigrants and those being brought in through family chain migration. End the family chain migration where people are bringing in all their extended families and using the lowest wage earner to do the sponsoring so that their immigrant will soon qualify for all the government handouts.

And no one should be here as a permanent resident on the path to citizenship as long as they have failed to learn English or the basics of American history and culture.

We need immigrants who want to be Americans not just for the money and government benefits but because they like our culture and want to be a part of it. We need more of them, and none of the others.
