McCain;
"From my visits to the southern part of our state, they don't see this dramatic improvement, Madam Secretary," he told her. "In fact, they are more worried than they've ever been. They see continued home invasions, they see continued requirements for our government to put up signs that say, 'Warning to our citizens' that they are in a drug smuggling area, a human smuggling area. They don't have the same security that people do in other parts of our country."

Napolitano;
"What we have done in the past two years is put more resources on the Southwest border than ever before, both in federal [efforts] and providing resources to the states,"

The clear facts are that either one has done anything
to secure the border

As long as the murders, rapes, kidnappings, ID theft, and credit fraud is happening to everyone EXCEPT our elected local/state/federal officials, their family members, and close friends -- illegal Entry into the U.S.A. is officially NOT A PROBLEM.

Just watched this on the television, disgusting from both of them. So now they are "talking" about the mess they allowed to continue for years. Napolitano needs to be slapped into consciousness but everyone knows of course; the more illegals here, the more votes they get. Haven't they gotten the memo that America is firing those who created this menacing mess?

Disgusting.

This country owes McCain and his family a huge debt of gratitude for their service. Now that that is out of the way. Why in the HELL has it taken him 23 frigging years to start pounding away about illegal immigration like this and securing the boarders. Makes me sick. Yeah I know about his legislation to make illegals pay to become citizens. So F'en what. He should have been beating the crap out of people since he had the power of his Senate seat.

I hope he continues to fight this fight and causes as much **** as he can. He's almost at the end of his career anyway what has he got to lose. Maybe he will go down as a hero just like he was in Vietnam. I can only wish.

Napolitano seems so disconnected from the truth and in denial. DHS and Washington keep talking about what they have done and how they have increased action, but none of that means anything when you are taking measures that hurt the overall cause of reducing illegal immigration. Of course they have put MORE down at the border because that is compared to a previous administration and of course they have so-called "arrested" more people because they knew they had better come up with something to show. It seems like President Obama and Napolitano with some DHS people got in a room and decided that it is a good method to try to convince us that they are donig their job by trying to throw those stats at us.

Those stats and words mean nothing when looking at the bigger picture of how Napolitano, Holder, Obama and people like Nancy Pelosi like to divert efforts to do more in getting rid of illegal immigrants and securing the border. Did she mention how Washington told Arizona that they would get troops on the border, but all they gave them were some signs and told them troops would be late?

This is about beds? LOL Can we get those guys some beds? Do we need to start a charity drive: Beds for Illegal Immigrants? I can't believe she went that low, lol, blames it on not having enough beds for them to sleep on. Better get them some sleeping bags, I'm sure our government can afford it, they spend money on everything else, including penis pumps for undocumented people. If they can go through the desert with a backpack and a jug of water or be hidden in a car dashboard while going across the border, then they can spend some nights in a nice comfy sleeping bag. What the hell Napolitano?

Quote:
[LEFT]Whether an illegal immigrant is detained or not "depends on the seriousness of the offender, and the availability of bed space," according to Napolitano.
"This is a real problem along the border," she said after a follow-up question from Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass. "We don't have enough beds ... to detain everybody who crosses the border."
