Agreed, once people stop viewing it as what it is - a nice "sentiment" and instead seem to think somehow it should be IMMIGRATION LAW, it's time for it to be removed and take it's place in history.

I tend to think of that quote as being more geared towards immigrants of the early 20th century and prior. The world is different today. We can't just let anyone and everyone come here. It would dissolve our quality of life.

Sure is. Only the most extreme liberals believe that we can take in all 2 billion of the world's impoverished people and have the American taxpayer provide a nice standard of life for them. Only the most extreme liberals believe that we should increase the population of the USA to absurd levels just so the corporations and elites can have ultra cheap labor.

The liberals want no immigration laws of any kind for that reason, they want everyone who gets a foot into the USA not only to stay but to be handed citizenship quickly and have every welfare handout needed to adjust for the dirt cheap wages.

I absolutely love this "argument".

Hey Ecovlke.....I bet you're looking pretty good for someone who's over 200 years old.

Tea baggers is an offensive term to use for the members of the Tea Party movement. Find out what tea bagger really implies.

And just what do the Dems and liberals call the Tea Partiers besides racists, etc.? Pot, kettle, black.
