I have legal status, and things are bleak for me in terms of white collar employment. The same is true for countless other Americans. As soon as those of us who are actually supposed to be here are gainfully employed, then we can talk about these people who should not even be here in the first place.

BTW, I wonder what kind of lawyers these absconders would make...

So much for illegals coming to do the hard work for low pay jobs that Americans don't want. Now it's obvious that they want high paying jobs that Americans do want to do - and they want us to pay for them to go to college.

Most major cities are suffering from huge school overcrowding. Supporters of illegal immigrants need to wake up and realize the damage it's doing to our country.

Unless and until we help educate every one of the people who are legal citizens here I feel no sympathy for any illegal who can't continue to take advantage of our educational system at the college level at our expense. I wouldn't give financial aid to any of the "anchor" ones either.

"By jove, you've cracked the conspiracy!"

"In Orange County, President Bush was talking about immigration. Bush said that massive deportation is unrealistic. He said you can't just move 12 million people to another country. I don't know, Mexico did it." --Jay Leno

Jay Leno might be a comedian but what he said is the truth. There is no need for mass "involuntary" deportations. If the right steps are taken to remove all incentives to remain or to come here, many if not most will leave voluntarily.
