Thumbs down Obama’s Plan: Piecemeal Amnesty

Surprise! Surprise!

As predicted, they will employ piecemeal tactics to ultimately grant amnesty to untold millions of illegal aliens.

Quote:
A senior Democratic Senate aide said White House officials have indicated a willingness to push through piecemeal changes to immigration law, instead of a comprehensive bill that combines border controls and immigration law enforcement with a path to citizenship for many of the 11 million illegal immigrants already in the country.

Under the incremental scenario, the White House would embrace Republican proposals to step up immigration law enforcement and border and port security in exchange for measures such as the DREAM Act, which would give illegal immigrant children a path to citizenship through military or public service.

Well, at least it's not a blanket amnesty. They have to do "something" besides show up with an open mouth and open hands before cashing in on our social service network. I still don't like it.

Unfortunately, the end result will be a blanket amnesty. They realize they don’t have support for a massive amnesty, so they’re going to legalize the 20+ million in increments. They will start with the DREAM Act, and then continue to pass laws for specific groups, until all have been legalized. Meanwhile, they will continue to halt deportations for all who have not been convicted of violent crimes.

By starting with the DREAM Act, they can legalize all illegals in the age groups 12-34. This will also legalize the parents of minor “DREAMies.” Then, they will legalize ag workers. Then, another group, etc, etc, etc.

This strategy will take longer, but ultimately, all 20+ million will be legalized.

They've got your. By shifting the "overton window" from blanket amnesty suddenly the DREAM Act appears more acceptable to some.

It's like having "a little Cancer" vs. systemic Cancer.

What part of NO AMNESTY is unclear?

Hold strong folks, citizenship should have value for the citizens and those who follow the laws to become citizens; not for those who have broken our laws!

Gotta love liberals. Now we have to 'negotiate' with them to protect our own borders.

Oh give them time. They will figure out a way to get everything they want through "negotiations".

I propose that everyone that goes to the back on the line, applies and waits for entry in their own Country, learns English, has a sponsor or a skill can be be legalized.

Oh wait, that is already available.

Uh, in the past 40 years we have had both Republican and Democrat Administrations running this country. None of them has done anything to really secure our borders. Obama sure isn't doing much.
