According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the countries of origin for the largest numbers of illegal immigrants are as follows:

Country of origin Raw number Percent of total Percent change 2000 to 2009
Mexico 6,650,000 62 42%
El Salvador 530,000 5 25%
Guatemala 480,000 4 65%
Honduras 320,000 3 95%
Philippines 270,000 2 33%
India 200,000 2 64%

So is this what they call diversity? The first four countries listed are all Latino countries. No other country or ethnic group even holds a pimple on the butt of Latino illegals in our country. Look at Mexico. It is astounding.

What do you expect? It's based on proximity and sharing a common border. Indians and Filipinos can't swim or walk over.

This is profound! Countries closest to us geographically have more illegals here than ones across an ocean. You have found the lost ark!

Mind = Blown.

Why on earth would anyone equate illegal immigration with Hispanics, since they only comprise 95% of the total illegal population? That’s just blatant racism.

The income disparity between the US & Mexico is the largest between any 2 adjacent countries in the world. That is what drives the illegal immigration.

Well if that's the case where are all the illegal Canadians?

The number of Canadians should be equal to the number of Mexicans.

It's not because Canada isn't as corrupt or ethnically polarizing as Mexico.

We've got the largest number of Mexicans outside of Mexico for a reason.

If Mexico wasn't corrupt there'd be no reason for them to leave their nation of origin.

What's the most amazing to me is that Haitians were trying to come here illegally on whatever they could find to float on the water and Haitians were being turned away by the thousands. Not the same for Mexicans.

The average Canadian is as well off as the average American, possible better, plus has universal health care, and sees no net benefit in moving. There is really no incentive to move unless it's a higher paying tech job opportunity. Canadians also have more to lose if caught -and it's harder to hide at better paying/white collar jobs than it is as an undocumented dishwasher. The average Mexican migrant has nothing to lose.

Yes, because we are their neighbor and will hire millions of them at attractive (to them) rates.

Yet Mexico wants to be included in the supposed 'North American Union' as an equal to the US and Canada.

There is no comparison between the US and Mexico, nor Canada and Mexico.
You just said so, yourself!
