It's not, it's just an excuse to keep kicking the can down the road on the issue he doesn't want to touch. Don't forget McCain tried to push a full blown amnesty bill through congress that the dems shot down. If he was in office now, we would have amnesty no doubt.

Oh I'll never forget about 'Trader McCain'

As long as the murders, rapes, kidnappings, ID theft, and credit fraud is happening to everyone EXCEPT our elected local/state/federal officials, their family members, and close friends -- illegal Entry into the U.S.A. is officially NOT A PROBLEM.

I thnk Obama finds it easy to do that because his ancestors are from a totally diferent culture. They were never brought to this country against their will, and enslaved. He really has no comprehension of what it's like to be the descendant of slaves, as opposed to being the son of an African citizen who chose to come to this country for an education. He doesn't share the same background, and just doesn't 'get it.'

I as an American Citizen, are outraged, that this President could think that we Americans are just plain stupid, yes it offends me. I feel that he is the President to illegals, it is clear to me that he has to apeace the illegals to get the number of votes he needs. It sickens me, that he can subsitute words, for what they really want, and we all do know what he wants, DON'T WE! This President, his Administration, his outlook on illegals, and what he intends from them, is all for show, and quite a farce.

It is very shameful that he would compare people residing in this country illegally on their own free will to people whose free will was restricted. Big difference there El Presidente, that's what you don't seem to realize and that's why people are fed up with your party.

"Let me say this as an African American. We worked for decades on civil rights," he said.

"Civil rights didn't come after one year. It didn't come after two years. People had to march, they had to have their heads beaten, they had fire hoses put on them," the US leader said.

"Change isn't easy. It doesn't happen overnight. Instead of us giving up, we just have to keep working until it gets done."
The only comparison the President made between the Civil Rights Struggle and CIR was to point out that the Civil Rights struggle and inroads made by all that fought for Civil rights, was that the two struggles[in his opinion] will take time.

Where in this piece did the President equate illegal aliens to Black folk fighting for civil rights?

and FYI. Black Americans were not the only Americans that fought the struggle for Civil rights and were not the only beneficiaries...
