Our nation's identity, language and culture was still intact with assimilating legal immigrants since its founding. Not so with these illegal aliens mostly from Mexico who don't want to do so. Even though Hispanic citizens know how to speak English it has been my experience that many don't want to speak English out in mainstream America and still cling to Mexico and its citizens to the point of defying our immigration laws. That isn't assimilation. All of a sudden we have to press two for Spanish and are being discriminated against in hiring practices if we don't speak Spanish. This didn't come about naturally it is due directly the the influx of millions of Spanish speaking illegals. We are no longer a melting pot with that going on.

As was pointed out in here groups like the NCLR AND Lulac fought to give illegals mortgages they couldn't afford. I would say that has been a contributing negative to our financial state today.

there is a diffrence in advocating for loans and Providing loans...How many loans did LULAC or NLCR underwrite?...Im almost positive, you couldn't even prove they advocated for loans for illegal immigrants.

Uh, it doesn't take a big imagination to figure out why those from known terrorists countries would sneak in here, does it? I would imagine a good many of them are here to do us harm.

Never said that the NCLR or Lulac could make or underwrite loans but let's face it they are both Hispanic advocacy groups for both legal and illegal Hispanics in this country. These groups have a pretty strong influence in many areas today.

I have been looking for work for months here & I have been asked most of the times if I am bi-lingual. Although I see nothing wrong & in fact I think it is great if one can speak more than one language, I am kinda resenting the fact that I have to in order to get work.
Do some not understand that if Americans are hurting for jobs that we really can't afford any more illegals here?

You and I don't usually agree either but I would like to say that I hope you are able to find work soon. I have friends looking for jobs as well, and it must be tough when you are expected to learn another language in your own country.

Immigration Enforcement needs to happen soon to get US citizens back to work. Good luck in your search.

I have to agree with you all on the work issue. Jobs are only catering to illegals & children of illegals

Yes, unfortunately the US has been lax for so many yrs. in enforcement that we now have our current situation.
Thanks for your encouragement.

No, it is you who are wrong on both counts. If you think some of those from known terrorist countries who entered our country illegally through our southern border aren't here to do us harm then you are in deep denial.

You know damned well that all of the Hispanic advocacy groups also defend illegal aliens in our country and in fact are seeking amnesty or so-called CIR for them. I can't believe that you would even try to deny that.
