Um, exactly what numbers are you dialing where you hear "Ay mamasita?" I think that's an issue you should take to the morality board. And amazingly, you still live in Texas, a place where Spanish was spoken a LONG time before English ever came along.
It is pandering to one minority ethnic group in this country who can speak English but get an all warm and fuzzy feeling hearing Spanish. We are an English speaking nation regardless and they had better get use to it. We don't pander to any other minority group in this manner.

English is not the official language of the United States. Sorry. You can try again in 24 hours.

That's why we're saying it should be. But it wouldn't affect private commerce anyway. Only government business such as emergency information, voter information, etc.

Plus Spanish is such a foul sounding language, some cant stand the mere utterance of a "Hey...que paso" or a " Ayi Mamasita"... makes some queazy to the stomach.

I, personally, are tired of pressing #2 for English...in my own country!
That's a bit extreme don't you think? What about the Czech or Polish immigrants who don't speak one lick of English either?

Feel lucky the Govt is catering to Spanish, coddling at it's best. Other immigrants are forced to assimilate. The horror! How will these other hundreds of groups of legal Citizens get by?

Texan was being sarcastic. He is Hispanic himself and well you can draw your own conclusions by reading his non-sarcastic posts.
