Great article AverageJoe. It's about time some stats come out on this stuff. I just find it amazing how they can say with a straight face that they are aware of the illegals and not be outraged that nothing is done about it.

I couldn't get the article to come up. It was just a blank page in that website.

I love the way they try to blur the lines by talking about "immigrant workers' rather than ILLEGALS.

LEGAL immigrants are entitled to a job here if they can get one. illegals aren't. period.

I'm not at all surprised by this. Illegals are still pouring over the border in very very high numbers and most don't start getting welfare checks immediately because usually they have to give birth to get on welfare programs. Most are getting jobs - heading straight to their new workplaces so unemployment of Americans is not a detterent to them. The corporations and cheap labor elites still want their unlimited cheap labor and absolutely nothing is being done to stop them from recruiting illegals.

I think that if we stop the extended unemployment checks, we will see people out there fighting for these jobs even if it has to be less money than what was the going rate.
This would send a message that we don't need nor want any more illegal aliens.

"They" aren't trying to blur the lines, the "They" is Janet Reno, Obama's Attorney General and her staff. "They" are the ones who don't know if a forged social security card is illegal... The "They" are the ones who came up with the politically correct speak of illegal immigrant... but to Americans it's STILL illegal alien.

There are some fields Americans are essentially locked out of. And if you take fighting to a certain level, one can get prosecuted under hate crime legislation for expressing xenophobia towards illegal aliens or non-immigrant aliens such as those with H-1B visas.

That's the way things work here on the human farm. Think this is the land of the free? Think again.

I'd like to see the H1B visa made a true non immigrant visa rather than a visa of "dual intent", and I also think those here on a student visa shouldn't be able to apply to adjust status while they're still in this country, but at least they're here legally.

It's even more pervasive a mindset in the media, who are the "they" I was referring to. It apears that some in the media, to paraphrase Will Rogers, never met an illegal they didn't like.
