Apparently releasing 500,000 wasn’t enough. Now, they’re helping illegals escape prosecution for crimes. What’s next?

An illegal immigrant charged with stealing an 81-year-old Wheat Ridge man's trailer fled the country with unusual accomplices: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

According to Storey, ICE flew the felony defendant to El Paso, Texas, on Oct. 19 and walked him across the border to freedom.

Yes - it only helps the criminal illegals when they are deported back because that's the easiest way for them to buy a new set of stolen identification papers and get back over here to start fresh with new crimes.

If you are caught in a serious crime, the best thing is to be "deported" because with no enforcement over the border, that means nothing at all, it's actually to their advantage.

Will his sister at least lose her house? Why does Colorado allow such low bail amounts and then take the risk away from the bond company? If illegals can't get out on bond then they can't escape.

Storey asked for a high bail because Torres-Ochoa was in the country illegally and was considered a flight risk. Bail was set at $100,000. Jefferson County Judge Thomas Vance later dropped the bail to $27,500, Storey said.
Torres-Ochoa's sister put up her house as collateral, and Rosalie Montoya of Reliable Bail Bonds put up the bond on Oct. 4,

Although Torres-Ochoa skipped bail, Reliable Bail Bonds likely won't forfeit the bond because the Colorado legislature passed a measure in 2007 in which bond companies were exempt from forfeiture when suspects flee the country.

I doubt she will lose her house. Can you imagine the backlash from La Raza, the ACLU, MALDEF, et al. if they attempted? I can see the sob story now, complete with photos of the woman and her children crying as they cling to their possessions.

The Colorado courts screwed up by reducing his bail - and the Colorado legislature screwed up by making bail bonds for illegals fully-refundable if they skip the country.
