Suspected illegal immigrants arrested at Mass. flight school - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_spoint/20101105/ts_yblog_spoint/suspected-illegal-immigrants-arrested-at-mass-flight-school - broken link)
These illegals are Brazilian nationals. The fact that 34 were attending flight school is a sobering thought. Perhaps we need better security???

Thiago DeJesus, the owner of the TJ Aviation Flight Academy at Minute Man Air Field near Boston, was among those arrested in the sting. A Brazilian immigrant and licensed pilot, DeJesus was charged in July with being in the U.S. illegally, but continued to give flying lessons until this week. Although DeJesus denies being in the states illegally, he is scheduled for a deportation hearing in February.
Amazing we allowed this illegals to continue teaching other illegals even after he was caught.

Our free-for-all, PC-infested country is ripe for the pickin'. Itís only a matter of time before we again pay with the shed blood of innocent citizens.

It appears to be an expired visa problem. The students came into the country legally for flight training, were investigated cleared and approved by the TSA, & registered with The FAA. They still have to go back but there doesn't appear to be any stealth or alterior motives.

Ask for proof of citizenship ? Why that's discrimination..don't dare ask.
Lenient immigration laws are but the tip of the iceberg here.

A Brazilian giving preferential treatment and protection to other Brazilians.

Do you see the problem here? The legal Brazilian has no regard for our laws. He should be deported as well.

Just because they had visas and were "approved" by the TSA and registered doesn't mean they have no harmful motives. I'm not saying that they do, but it isn't good intelligence (in the counter-terrorism world) to assume that people who came here legally and were cleared don't have bad intentions. Many terrorists are working and living in the country right now and they are legally here and did everything legally to come here. That's a method that terrorist groups teach: to have all of your papers in order to avoid detection and to keep the government out of your way while you develop your plans and raise money to execute your acts of terrorism.

Turns out the 'students' did know that they were in the US illegally - the flight training was a sideline while they worked at other jobs...illegally... Yep, give them the boot.

3 flight school students defend actions, admit to expired visas - The Boston Globe

One man, a 32-year-old electrician who lives with his wife in Revere, said he has spent about $4,000 on flight training at the TJ Aviation Flight Academy in Stow and wants to become a commercial pilot in the United States. He admitted that his visa expired last year but said he has always hoped to become a citizen.

Another former student at the school, a 39-year-old man living in Revere who works as a carpenter, said last night that ICE agents entered his home one morning early last month and only detained him, even though they discovered that his wife’s visa had also expired.

A third student, a 33-year-old general contractor living in Everett, said he entered the country without any immigration papers and also wanted to become an airline pilot.
