New Mexico elected the first female governor in the USA, who also happens to be Hispanic AND anti illegal immigration.

I'll believe it when she proves it after taking office. Talk is cheap and I shall remain skeptical. La Raza and such groups will be pressuring her and calling her a "coconut". Let's hope she doesn't cave in to them.

We'll see. We know what happens once politicians get into office and start getting ideas into their head to keep their job or start getting special interest groups whispering in their ear. She also may have some groups and people she owes a favor to for their monetary contributions during her bid for the job.

Small lesson in governance. the governor of a state doesnt make/set US immigration policy; Latina or not. Ask Jan Brewer about that "I'll Make My own State Immigration Laws" how thats working for Her.

You obviously didn't bother to read the article. She wasn't saying NM was going to enforce that, she was commenting on what she thought the process SHOULD be.

States however, CAN regulate who is eligible for a STATE driver's license and the new Gov intends to see that illegals are no longer eligible.
