I can not believe that all the powerful forces that were pushing so hard for an amnesty bill in Congress are going to give up. They have to much at stake and want it to bad. I wonder how they are going to give it a try again. Will they use the same approach as last time and try to call it comprehensive and claim it is not amnesty. Or will they increase legal immigration to millions a year? Or will they just call all current illegals farm workers and guest workers to make them all legal.

How will immigration reform be sold to America next time it is brought up?

I think that THEY think they have worked hard and long on this bill and they are going to see it passed come hell or highwater. My guess is they will sneak bits of it through attached to other legislation, so we have to stay vigilant to their tricks.

Most definitely. If one of the senators who supported the amnesty bill wins the Presidency, then we might as well hand this country over to Mexico.

ATTN Dingler:

I am going to take this opportunity for you to tell me you where wrong when you constantly claimed that the Grand Bargain would pass the Senate (don't make me pull up the old posts). I tried to tell you different but you must have mixed your Kool-Aid a little too strong. Well, I hate to say it but I told you so! Buck up and admit you were wrong. I will graciously accept your apology and admission. Thanks in advance.

My Congress Insiders tell me they will now start again in the House but not as one big bill, but a little bit at a time.

...Still waiting for an apology, and is this the same supposed 'Congress Insider' who claimed it would pass? I think you should look for another one. I will keep an eye on this post and wait for you to take responsibility and admit you were wrong (sound of crickets chirping).

Yes, I am the experts I know on Capital Hill were wrong. We both apologize.

I suspect though the issue is going to come back soon and many amnesty programs will be put in non related Congressional Bills in the middle of the night. How do you think the open border crowd will move ahead?

Yes I think they will do the whole rename and mix it up for the bill and try again and again and again....Americans just need to keep pushing our government to work for us.

By outright refusing to secure our border Washington already has passed a defacto amnesty bill. If our border is left open for a few more years it really won't matter anymore.

But yes, I do think they will try again. Next time in the House.

I fully believe that Bush and his ilk will shove the North American Union down our throats no matter how many faxes we send. I think there are many on both sides of the house and senate that support this, so does it matter who is in the White House? I think this will reduce the standard of living in the USA while pumping up Mexico. Will white and black americans become moving targets when the borders are finally removed? Mexico's hatred of all things USA is no secret. There was some scary language in the last bill.
