How would this increase illegal immigration? What do you base your opinion on? And what could this possibly have to do with alcohol other than the numerous illegals that are picked up for DUI and released to do it again?

Read your statement again because I'm not understanding it.

The reasoning behind my post was that if ENOUGH Mexican-Americans were told "sorry no can do - the quota has already been taken up with illegals" when someone they know applied for a visa, they may change their tune regarding the advocacy for amnesty or to just basically let things remain as they are.

People will ONLY change their focus when illegal immigration impacts THEM.

If people want to come here they are going to come here, illegal or not. If you remove legal immigration as an option those who would have normally come here legally would now have to come here illegally, thus increasing illegal immigration. Make sense?

I made the comparison to drunk driving because those are two equally preposterous statements. I was being sarcastic.

Anything else you'd like me to explain?

I'm sorry to hear that.

Why would she need to go to Canada first to sneak into the US?

Your statement doesn't make any sense.

Mexico is the BIG problem & you know it.
People do not NEED to first go to Canada, but they often do.

Massive Mexican immigration is indeed a big problem, I do not disagree. But, immigration from Asia is a problem that needs to be stopped as well.

This mindset is why we have to increase border patrol.

We are trying to stay a sovereign Country. Anyone keeping us from that is the enemy whether here or abroad.

No not at all. We do have one of the largest standing military's in the world. We could use our military for exactly what its supposed to be used for. Making The United States of America secure.

I wouldn't be opposed to displacing troops that are overseas. I would be even more in favor of substantially decreasing the size and investment into the military.
