My view is that she should APPEAL the conviction because she stands a good chance of getting the charge tossed out on the basis that she was aquitted of the primary charge which resulted in the secondary charge of driving without a license which brought about the threat of deportation. Many courts have ruled that, if the PRIMARY charge- which is what the police used as probable cause to stop you- is tossed then all other charges that came about as a result of the probable cause charge should be tossed as well. I think it would be horrible to deport a college student who was brought here as a little kid and doesn't even know Mexico. We need to keep her here.

If she's old enough to be in college she's as old as many illegals that cross our border daily. They are looking for a new adventure. I guess she would be old enough for a new adventure back to her homeland. Maybe she could demand that the laws in Mexico change to accomodate her and her family.

BTW, doesn't it just bug you how the rich exploit the illegals. They get cheap labor as well as having all these loopholes allowing them to get around paying taxes. I've heard you hate people that try to get out of paying taxes.

I knew her name sounded familiar. This is the arrogant DREAMie who had the audacity to request a jury trial for a traffic violation, and the pandering court granted her request. Talk about squandered tax dollars. Now, the OP is suggesting we waste even more money on an appeal. I have yet to find a more entitlement-minded group of illegals than DREAMies. I suppose we should be thankful she wasn’t arrested for a DUI like the DREAMie Rigoberto Padillo, who was permitted to remain in this country after pro-illegals launched a campaign to stay his deportation.

Colotl had been scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning on the two traffic charges in Cobb State Court's traffic division. But her jury trial request means the case must be heard in the other division of state court.

Cobb Solicitor General Barry Morgan, whose office prosecutes misdemeanors, said first-time offenders convicted of driving without a license are typically sentenced to two days in custody and fined about $700. The fine for impeding traffic is $111.

She's the perfect illustration of the sort of chain law breaking that occurs from illegal migration. From entering our country without permission to attending school without authorization to now driving without a license she just keeps breaking our laws over and over again.

To her and her advocates breaking any law is fine if you are an illegal migrant. The only laws they want are the ones that benefit them personally. That's no way to run a society.

That would certainly appear to be their trend.
