Chicagonut;
You could always come stay with me for awhile. Or there's a lot houses to rent for 250.00 a mo, with no contract. I can set that up for you.

Thanks mkfarnam, how thoughtful of you. Wow, rent is really that cheap there, hey? I am afraid my husband and I would have to take a big loss on our home here though since homes have depreciated by so much. Would move back to Michigan but it is too cold for me.

That's what I'm paying.My LL owns over 50 rental houses, some are in Lawton/Ft Sill,OK. and the rent is low in all of them, and some are 2 story.

That's the one reason I'm not in Michigan.

Also (not to offend anyone) I found that those of us who are more use to the western hemesphere, compared to those in the North East, (refering to the state of Mich,) are like 2 different worlds..........in other words, "some"people back there have something against people from the West, or just don't like intruders.

I find it puzzling that so many on this forum bi tch, whine and moan about "illegals" not wanting to assimilate; speak English; become American...and when some try to make an American life...they are belittled and dismissed.

So why talk out of both sides of your mouths.

Geez, what is it about the word "illegals" that is so confusing? Legal immigrants, fine and dandy; illegal immigrants, get "legal" or go back home!

Tax dollars should not be wasted on "illegal" immigrants. Wake up California, you're digging your own grave!

What is confusing for some is that they "want them gone"...yet the Supreme Court of the US says All are intitiled to an Education.

Now the Ca Supreme Court ruled that in California that concept is extended to include Higher Education.

That confuses some.

Why should taxpayers subsidize their college education? If they want to attend college, let them pay the higher rates just like legal foreign students, and non-resident U.S. citizens. Why should illegal aliens be rewarded for being here in violation of our laws? Under NO circumstances should an illegal pay less than a U.S. citizen attending the same college.

This case is being appealed to the SCOTUS. Again, illegal aliens are not being denied a college education. They simply should not be rewarded by having their tuition subsidized by taxpayers.

There is no confusion between legal and illegal.
