I should have mentioned in my initial post to pay particular attention to the details on the link for #’s 2, 3, and 4. Obama mentioned the DREAM Act as being a “down payment” on the so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Amnesty). In reality, this bill essentially provides the whole enchilada.

In summary, all DREAM Act “applicants” are safe from deportation while their case is being processed. Mind you, ALL applications MUST be processed, even those for gang members, murderers, rapists, drug dealers, etc. They are offered safe haven pending the completion of their case, which could be a lengthy process. Furthermore, the “good moral character” requirement does not apply to criminal behavior prior to the enactment of the bill. This was necessary to forgive illegals for committing ID theft, tax evasion, fraud, DUIs, etc.

Another issue is the fact that while they are estimating 2.1 million, there is no set limit on the number who may apply, or granted legal status. Even those who clearly do not qualify will apply simply to protect themselves from a possible deportation.

Moreover, fraud will be rampant. We must be mindful of the fact that illegals have proven they have no respect for the law, and will not play by the rules. Of course taxpayers will again be burdened with the costs for the resources required to implement and maintain this program.

Unless you support amnesty for untold millions, you will join the fight. Call, email, fax . . . do whatever you can to convince the members of Congress to oppose the passage of this travesty. It is NOT a bill to provide the “children” of illegals an opportunity for citizenship. This reeks of backdoor amnesty. Don’t be fooled. Read the bill.

This is totally outrageous and unacceptable to the American people. Fortunately, I don't think it has even the remotest chance of passing.
