It wouldn't surprise me if the buyers aren't all necessarily illegal either. Nice new SSN - hello nice new clean as a whistle credit report?

This seems to be a recurring problem, we have had several cases of NYSDMV workers providing driver's licenses and non driver ID cards to illegal immigrants in similar schemes.

Personally I think it's time to require one to be a native born US citizen in order to hold a government job, and a second generation native born US citizen to serve in a military or law enforcement capacity. We have too many people working in our state, federal, and local government agencies who are of dubious loyalty to the United States. Maybe we need to start charging these people with treason and/or sedition to get the point across?

As Leon Vance said on NCIS - "You can't serve two masters at the same time".

<<gon't know how many other states or doing it, but Oklahoma requires finger prints on Drivers Licenses now.>>

So does California. They also require a SS#. i was behind a Chinese couple at the DMV once, and they were trying to get a driver's license for the woman who didn't speak English. The clerk asked if she had a SS#, and the guy said "No, but I do." The clerk told him "if she wants a license in her name, she's got to have a SS# in her name." So the guy asked "Where do we get one of those?" It kind of makes you wonder where he got his.

Whemn i got to OK in "07" I handed them my Ca, DL, give them my ss# and I had an OK DL in 10 min's. I just renewed my DL this month and time I had to be finger printed.

Ca, must have started it a few years ago because my last Ca, DL didn't require it.

I wonder who's going to start complaining about the Privacy Act..
