If California voters pass this amendment, the battle is over; the good guys win.

If the state of Calif. can pull this off then the illegals are toast across the nation.

"What we saw on Nov. 2, those candidates who dabble with racism, xenophobia and anti-immigrant sentiments and policies, lose badly in statewide elections," Salas said".

What utter BS! So to want our immigration laws enforced on all levels warrents those kinds of labels? Take note of the last name of the one who said this.

It's always "anti-immigrant" isn't it? Never call it what it really is "anti-illegal migration" sentiment

Angelica Salas, executive director of Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, said she did not believe Californians would support the proposal. She pointed to several similar attempts in the last 10 years that failed to qualify for the ballot.

She had to jump in and try to twist it off into another direct.

The funny thing about all these "immigrants rights" groups is that LEGAL immigrants have pretty much the same rights as USC. Why don't they stop being so disingenuous and call themselves what they REALLY are - advocates for "rights for illegal aliens" and in MOST cases the groups are only pushing for these "rights" for one group, Hispanics. So who are the racists and xenophobes again?

1. The courts have enjoined the detention part so that doesn't work
2. The law has been exxposed as a scam where illegals who would otherwise be deported would be held in Private Prisons and the Governor and Leader (Fuhrer) of the State Senate would get kickbacks for each woman and child jailed at taxpayer expense

Many states are drafting their own version of the AZ bill. I doubt they are identical. In any case, considering the mindset of the leadership in CA, even if the residents vote for an anti-illegal immigration bill the courts will do as instructed by the ruling elite who depend on illegal workers. Case in point: Prop 187.
