Basically we need to do whatever we have to in order to stop entry and then make it so they can not work here and deport for violating our laws.

Here is the deal. They don't want to wait their turn to come legally so they come anyway, illegally. Another thing is that we have quotas on legal immigration that fits the best interests of our nation. We can't possibly take in all the immigrants who want to come here so they come anyway, illegally. That is why we need to secure our borders and to remove any incentives to come here illegally.

Yes which is why we need to deny all benefits to illegal immigrants.

The answer to this is obvious, and most posters point out the two key aspects of it: stop the hiring of illegals, and stop the free government benefits that attract them.

We must remove the bait. It really shouldn't be hard to require proof of citizenship that is submitted to the employer and forwarded to government immediately upon hiring. The IRS should be doing this check (instead of harrassing small businesses that hire people and re-interpreting regulations years later to maximize income and penalities) and then arranging for the deportation of illegals when they are discovered.

And of course the primary draw is free health care and education, and other government give-aways. The "anchor baby" idea is insane, and pretty much every American agrees that we cannot afford a free ride for all of our own "disadvantaged," let alone the rest of the world's.

Of course we all know that the point is moot. The Federal Government profits from illegals, while the States and Local Governments must pay the cost. And the Federal Government has the power to control (or not control) immigration. So it will continue, and American taxpayers will pay the price, just like we do for all of our Federal Government's disastrous policies that are dooming our nation.

Round them up, deport them, fine anybody who hires them, repeat offenders whether it be illegal employee or employer get sent to general pop in the worst local prison. Point out the low IQ of most illegals and shame them even further to the point that can no longer handle the humiliation and leave on their own.

We also have to stop this birthright crap that was never intended for foreigners who break our laws.

They come here illegally and have 3 or 4 kids and get welfare for the child which is a public expense we pay for.

Its a concern we all share from public cost to crime.
1.Fine all empl. who hire them (biggest problem).
2.Secure the DAMN border already (we can win wars but cant secure our own borders..give me a break).
3.Deport all illegals.
4.setup immigration office inside all city central lockups and get these illegals before they cost U.S. citizens more $$$ to lock them up.
5.Cut Empl. benefits to no more then 6 months for legal citizens (get them off the couch and taking jobs).

Problem solved!

There are too many US citizens without jobs.
I guess we will have to wait and see... since the economy in this country is doing so well right now, huh.

They didn't do much to make us leave when the economy was good, what makes you think that they are going to do something now that they have a ton of other problems and they don't have money to secure the border nor make any other project to deport us.

FYI a part of me does want all of us to leave so the rest of the world can watch you guys fall apart.

The jobs that you are talking about are jobs that CANNOT be occupied by an undocumented immigrant.

For example, where I live many teachers were laid off because the schools didn't have enough money to pay them all. To become a teacher you must be legal since they check your social security number, also you must speak English, and had to of gone to college. All undocumented immigrants are missing at least one of those things if not all.

Yet there are still jobs out here like fast food restaurants, hotels, etc. that are hiring, but you wont see a teacher working in any of these places or any other person with that kind of education filling in these positions.
So don't say that we are here taking your jobs because you don't see an undocumented immigrant taking a lawyer's, doctor's, or an engineer's job.
If there wasn't any work here then there wouldn't be any undocumented immigrants here because they might as well be striving to live in a place where they are welcomed.

When you ask those questions you make it seem like we can just go to any U.S. embassy and tell them to give us a Visa and they will give it to us.
Well, that isn't how it work.
To be able to come here you must own a home, a car, etc. In Latin america you can usually find two or more families living under one roof. So there is no way they can meet the requirements to come here legally.
There is a way a student can come here as an exchange student and have a student visa, but for that they must have a cool 10,000 dollars in the bank. Now if the middle class citizens here finds it hard to save 10,000 dollars, how hard do you think it is for someone in Latin america to make that much where the wage is a lot lower than here.
If my parents could make that much down there then I wouldn't be here trying to get through college living like a second class citizen where i cannot even drive legally.
