I'm sure there are PLENTY of Americans and/or legal residents that would have LOVED that chance at an internship

You've interned with the Brooklyn DA. You've worked very hard, yet, at the same time, you really can't legally work once you graduate.
and fwiw THIS is as far as I know BLATANTLY untrue.......Ms Pacheco is on an F1 student visa and is NOT currently undocumented........unless that is, she DELIBERATELY flouted the requirements of the F1 visa in order to BECOME illegal once again in hopes of taking advantage of the Dream Act they apparently expect to be passed?

"Gaby, as well, you've worked hard at school, an honor student- president of your student body in college- and you likened it- it's interesting- you said, 'I went from being this- you know, all-American- played on sports teams, did really well in school- to now being a criminal.

You base this on what? Or is this the typical "deport them all" crowd usual make up the facts as we go along routine.

Try a google search - Ms Pacheco has quite openly admitted she gained an F1 (foreign student) visa through a sponsor and that is the reason SHE is not under a deportation order with the rest of her family, but as you seem to be unable to confirm these facts for yourself - here for your edification......

Gaby Pacheco (the daughter of A075 365 511 and A099 572 317 and sister of A099 572 319). Gaby is not in proceedings. At the time of the proceedings below, she was in the United States lawfully under an F1 student visa and remains involved in protests regarding immigration reform and the “DREAM” Act.

But, they worship her. She’s the Queen DREAMie. Funny, she isn’t a DREAMie at all.
She has nothing to gain or lose with the passage or failure of the DREAM Act, other than publicity. No doubt she’ll write a book, and appear on Oprah if the Nightmare Act passes. Dreamies are so gullible.

Well I'm sure if the Dream Act doesn't pass and she falls out of legal F1 status, she can find someone like oh say........Feinstein to lobby for a private bill for her.

Why, of course! Anything less would be un-American.
